A mother Cardinal ( Cardinalis cardinalis) feeds her newly fledged baby in dense vegetation. Photographed behind my home in Baltimore County, Md. I find that if I sit quietly in my yard, all sorts of animals show up. It takes patience, but it’s worth it!
