My black and white image of a young lion resting in the shade in Tanzania, East Africa was inspired by the beautiful photographs created by Joy and George Adamson of their lioness Elsa. Elsa was the first lion to be raised by humans, then subsiquently released to the wild and live to raise a litter of cubs. Unfortunately Elsa contracted a tick fever and died a young lion. Wild lions face many challenges, their future in Africa is precarious.

A framed print of this wild lion would be a wonderful gift for any animal lover, especially those who love lions. It would look wonderful anywhere wildlife photography is appreciated.
