Single exposure of the head and shoulders of a Mourning Dove ( Zenaida macroura ) with a bright, natural background which resembles the Peace Symbol. Created at Mariner Point Park in Joppatown, Md. Local wildlife lovers who visit the park often bring small handfuls of birdseed as a goodwill offering to the wild critters who inhabit the park. One can also see egrets in the adjacent marsh while eagles and ospreys sometimes fly overhead.
