Artist's Description

VIP Very Important Pollinator, an original bee photograph by Chris Scroggins.
Horizontal, colorful image of an American bumblebee nectaring on a bright pink echinacea flower.
Who or what qualifies for VIP status these days? Bee populations are on the decline worldwide, and scientists agree that it is a complex issue. If honey bees and bumble bees perish, the food supply will be drastically reduced. There is a movement afoot to encourage more homeowners to become bee keepers. There are bee hives in the city of Paris, and even at the United States' White House garden.
