The Gilbert Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch is one of the gems in my community. The site serves as a water reclaimation area to take advantage of our rare thunderstorms. Because of the water, the Preserve draws birds from everywhere and the Preserve has become a huge draw for birders.
The paths are very walkable. There is a beautiful lake for fishing, several babbling brooks, many benches, an observatory, and play areas for children.
With the soft light sifting through the branches, this beautiful spot caught my eye. I thought it looked like a places faeries might congregate. I'm sure this watering hole is a big draw for the many animals that call the preserve their home.
