Imagine my surprise and pleasure when this magnificent male lion performed this stretch in front of me. Horizontal color image of Hassan the lion. It looks like he's practicing a yoga pose called downward facing dog. Cuma, the old lioness watches from a distance. Zoo lions photographed at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. Animals like lions stretch many times a day. Stretching helps to keep them in condition.
